We are recruiting for a leading UK manufacturer within the health and wellbeing sector. You will process payroll from start to finish, validate payroll information, resolve employee queries and ensure all payroll activity remains compliant with HMRC legislation and statutory requirements. You will work closely with HR, Finance, managers and external providers to ensure payroll is accurate, efficient and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time Validate hours, overtime, absences, deductions and statutory payments Check payroll information before submission and approval Issue payslips, P45s, P60s and other payroll documents Maintain accurate and audit-ready payroll records Ensure compliance with HMRC and statutory payroll requirements Administer pensions and workplace auto-enrolment Support the administration of employee benefits Produce reports covering payroll costs, overtime, absence and discrepancies Respond to employee and manager payroll queries Investigate and resolve payroll errors and discrepancies Liaise with HR, Finance, managers and external providers Maintain accurate data across payroll and HR systems Support payroll process improvements Maintain payroll procedures and standard operating documents About You To be considered for this Part-Time Payroll Officer role, you should have: Previous experience in a payroll-focused position End-to-end payroll processing experience Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation Knowledge of HMRC requirements, SSP, SMP and statutory payments Experience administering pensions and auto-enrolment Experience using Staffology or a similar payroll system Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities Strong communication and problem-solving skills A professional and confidential approach Experience within manufacturing, professional services or another fast-paced environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
