As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial ownership of refurbishment, retrofit and planned works projects across the Southern Home Counties. You will manage costs from tender stage through to final account, working closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors to protect margins, control costs, manage variations and ensure accurate commercial reporting.

  • Prepare cost estimates, tenders and contract documentation
  • Manage project costs, budgets and procurement activity
  • Prepare valuations, variations, applications for payment and final accounts
  • Review subcontractor quotations, appointments and payments
  • Monitor commercial performance from tender through to final account
  • Support cost forecasting, cash collection and margin protection
  • Identify commercial risks, cost pressures and value recovery opportunities
  • Produce accurate commercial reports for internal and client review
  • Work closely with site and operations teams to support project delivery

This role may suit someone currently working as a Quantity Surveyor, Project Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Retrofit Quantity Surveyor or Refurbishment Quantity Surveyor. You will need experience in construction, property services, refurbishment, retrofit, planned works or social housing.

  • Experience managing subcontractor procurement, payments and commercial documentation
  • Strong commercial awareness and margin protection skills
  • Confidence working with operational teams, clients and subcontractors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or work packages at the same time
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience across retrofit projects, decarbonisation works, social housing refurbishment, planned maintenance, EWI, fabric upgrades, roofing, windows, doors, insulation, kitchens, bathrooms, voids or disrepair works would be highly relevant.
