About the Role
As National Account Manager, you\’ll manage and expand a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring national consistency and profitable growth. You’ll combine a consultative sales approach with robust commercial analysis, delivering joint business plans and ensuring your accounts are supported with the right blend of national oversight and regional delivery.
You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership, bid teams, branch managers, and creative marketing, acting as the strategic interface between clients and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities

Secure new business and account manage a portfolio of high-value national clients

Implement joint business plans and contact strategies in alignment with company objectives

Analyse sales performance and recommend tactical actions to maximise growth

Use ERP systems to manage opportunities, quotes, and daily planning activity

Maintain a scorecard of key priorities and provide monthly performance updates

Lead on bid preparation and submission, ensuring quality and timely delivery

Submit case studies, contribute to social media, and support brand visibility

Monitor enquiries, chase outstanding opportunities, and ensure ERP data integrity

Liaise with branch managers and commercial teams on complaints, RFIs, and escalations

Represent the business professionally at events and client entertainment
What You’ll Need

Solid experience as a National Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or senior BDM

Proven background in both new business generation and account development

Experience managing multiple clients across sectors such as housing, education, health, or commercial

Strong analytical and reporting skills – capable of advising on trends and improvements

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Resilient, professional, self-motivated, and highly organised

Full UK Driving Licence
