Are you a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Shift Engineer or Engineering Technician looking for a hands-on Mon - Fri evening shift role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? This is a practical engineering role focused on keeping production running safely and efficiently through planned maintenance, breakdown response, fault-finding and continuous improvement. You will work across production equipment, site services and maintenance systems as part of a supportive engineering team.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out PPMs, respond to breakdowns, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, support site services and help improve equipment reliability across the Linton site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and equipment faults
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
  • Work across production machinery, boilers, water systems, cooling systems and fabrication equipment
  • Use CMMS / maintenance software to record activity accurately
  • Identify improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to support smooth site operations

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a maintenance engineering, multi-skilled engineering or shift engineering role
  • Food manufacturing, FMCG, production, manufacturing or process industry experience
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
  • Good mechanical skills with electrical understanding
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC systems
  • Recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
