The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining, fault-finding and improving highly automated production machinery, helping to maximise uptime, reliability and site performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding on automated production machinery
  • Reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults on PLC-controlled and automation-related equipment
  • Supporting continuous improvement and equipment optimisation
  • Recording maintenance activity using CMMS systems, with SAP experience beneficial
  • Completing risk assessments, permits to work and method statements
  • Supporting safe systems of work across the engineering function
  • Escalating complex maintenance issues where required
  • Supporting site performance, quality, safety and reliability standards

Rotating schedule:

Week 1: 06:00 AM - 14:00 PM
Week 2: 14:00 PM - 22:00 PM

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, production or automated environments
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Confident fault-finding and diagnostic ability
  • Experience working on PLC-controlled or automated equipment
  • Experience using CMMS systems, with SAP experience beneficial
  • A proactive, methodical and safety-first approach
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

Desirable Experience

It would also be beneficial if you have experience with:

  • Root Cause Analysis
  • FMEA
  • Preventative maintenance optimisation
  • Highly automated manufacturing environments
  • Production machinery, automated systems, conveyors, drives, sensors, motors, pneumatics or hydraulics
