About the Role Multi Skilled Engineer

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, youll be the heartbeat of hatchery operations keeping incubators, handling systems, alarms, and every critical piece of kit running at full tilt.

Youll handle breakdowns like a boss, smash through PPMs, and keep an eye on everything from legislative compliance to spare parts stock all while switching between days and nights on a 4 on / 4 off shift.

This role is for someone who thrives under pressure and relishes a challengebringing energy, focus, and the determination to keep production running smoothly while always looking for ways to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, inspect, and repair all incubation and ancillary equipment across site
  • React fast to faults and fix them with minimal disruption to live stock, systems, and timelines
  • Proactively reduce downtime by maintaining stock of key spares and tools
  • Ensure all equipment is safe, legally compliant, and performance-optimised
  • Keep alarm systems running 24/7 no failures, no excuses
  • Support and communicate with site leadership around future equipment risks or issues
  • Maintain accurate service and breakdown records
  • Keep the workshop and stores running like a tight ship
  • Tackle other repairs and maintenance duties as needed

  • Comfortable working days & nights (06001800/18000600) on a 4-on/4-off shift
  • Not afraid of overtime and happy to flex when the business needs it
