What You’ll Be Doing
- Training apprentices and learners in welding‑related disciplines
- Supporting apprenticeship programmes and regulated qualifications
- Using your industry experience to develop skills, behaviours and confidence
- Guiding learners to become safe, competent and work‑ready
- Promoting strong Health & Safety standards in the workshop
- Playing a key role in shaping future engineering talent
You’ll be fully supported with structured training, mentoring and guidance from an experienced Teaching & Learning team.
What They’re Looking For
Essential
- Strong background in welding with experience in one or more of:
- Welding
- Pipefitting
- Plating
- Sheet metal work
- City & Guilds Craft Certificate or equivalent
- Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Confident communicator with basic IT skills
- Genuine interest in developing others
Desirable (Not Essential – Fully Funded Training Provided)
- Teaching or assessor qualifications
- TWI Coded Welding Inspector / Trainer
