Are you an experienced electrician ready to step off the tools and into a rewarding training career? This is a rare opportunity for a commercially experienced Electrical Installation / Maintenance Electrician to move into education and pass on real-world knowledge to the next generation of engineers. You will join an established training team delivering high-quality apprenticeship and commercial electrical courses across Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe.

The Role
- Deliver practical and classroom-based electrical training to apprentices and adult learners
- Support learners through their technical development and assessments
- Deliver commercial courses including:
- C&G 18th Edition
- C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
- Basic Electrical Maintenance
- PAT Testing
This is a hands-on, people-focused role where your experience directly shapes careers.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years commercial / industrial electrical experience
- Strong craft and fault-finding skills
- Confident communication and people skills
- Basic IT capability
- Experience in:
- Containment installations
- First and second fix
- Inspection and testing
- Certification (EIC, EICR, Minor Works) to BS7671 and GN3 standards
Location & Travel
Based in Hull, with regular travel across Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe. A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential; public transport is not practical.
Salary & Benefits:
If you don't hold a teaching qualification, it will be fully funded and supported. You'll complete this in your own time with guidance throughout. Benefits include:
- 42 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
- Annual performance bonus
- Pension: 5% employee / 7% employer
- Life insurance: 4x salary
- Private healthcare (after 3 months)
