This is a proper industrial electricians role. Youll be joining a large, well-invested operation at the heart of the UKs circular economy - a site where uptime matters, safety is non-negotiable, and engineers are trusted to own their shift. If you thrive on fault-finding, enjoy real plant, and want a role where your decisions genuinely matter, this is the kind of environment youve been training for. This is not building services. This is motors, drives, panels, control systems and continuous process plant in a fast-moving, safety-critical environment.

Why this role stands out:

  • 4 on / 4 off (days) - genuine work/life balance
  • Recession-proof industry - essential, long-term security
  • True industrial plant - not light commercial work
  • Well-funded site - modern kit, ongoing investment
  • Safety-led culture - standards that are lived, not laminated
  • Career-grade shift role - autonomy, ownership and progression

Youll be the electrical authority on shift. Diagnosing faults, restoring production, protecting people and plant, and handing over cleanly to the next team.

What youll bring:

  • Completed electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
  • 17th or 18th Edition (18th preferred)
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Strong fault-finding ability on 3-phase systems, motors, panels & plant
  • Comfortable on 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation
  • A safety-first mindset - isolations, permits, risk awareness
  • Confident working independently and communicating clearly at handover

This role suits electricians who want more than just a job - those ready to step into a serious industrial environment and build a long-term career in plant maintenance and reliability. If youre ready for a site where engineering actually matters, this is it.
