Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor or Project QS with a strong background in planned works, social housing, refurbishment or property services?
This is an opportunity to join a well-established national property services business where the plan is clear: bring in an experienced Planned Works Quantity Surveyor, give them ownership of a strong regional workload, and develop them into a Lead Surveyor as the branch continues to grow.

The Opportunity
You will initially take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes, including:
- Kitchen and bathroom programmes
- Roofing programmes
- Window and door replacement
- Planned maintenance and improvement works
- Refurbishment projects across occupied properties
You will manage the commercial performance of projects from start through to completion, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and branch management.
Your Responsibilities
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Commercial management of planned works programmes
- Cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
- Preparing and reviewing CVRs
- Valuations and applications for payment
- Managing variations and commercial risk
- Subcontractor procurement and account management
- Monitoring project margins and identifying opportunities to improve profitability
- Supporting tendering, pricing and commercial submissions
- Working closely with Contracts Managers and operational teams
- Ensuring projects remain commercially controlled and financially accurate
- Supporting the wider growth and commercial performance of the East Midlands branch
What We Are Looking For
This role will suit an experienced QS who has developed strong commercial judgement and understands the realities of delivering planned works in a live operational environment.
You will ideally have:
- Around 810 years Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong experience within planned works or planned maintenance
- Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, windows, doors or similar programmes
- Experience within social housing, property services, refurbishment or a comparable environment
- Strong CVR, forecasting and cost-control experience
- Experience managing valuations, variations and subcontractor accounts
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Confidence working directly with operational and senior management teams
- A recognised Quantity Surveying qualification
- Full UK driving licence
