Are you an electrically biased Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a Monday to Friday, days-only role with no rotating shifts, no nights and an excellent overall package?
RecruitME is recruiting for an established and growing organisation looking to appoint a Field-Based Maintenance Technician to support four operational sites across Norfolk and South Lincolnshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to move away from shift work and into a Monday to Friday day-shift position, while still enjoying plenty of variety, autonomy and responsibility.
The role is approximately 70% electrical and 30% mechanical, so we are particularly interested in candidates who have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have strong practical electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
You will typically manage the maintenance requirements across three to four sites, planning your own workload, responding to engineering issues and ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and operational.

The Role
As a Field-Based Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting equipment and assets across a small portfolio of four sites throughout Norfolk and South Lincolnshire.
Working largely autonomously, you will organise and prioritise your own workload while maintaining close communication with operational teams and management.
Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across four sites

Electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repair

Responding to equipment breakdowns and engineering issues
-
Completing mechanical maintenance and minor repairs where required
-
Identifying potential equipment failures before they impact operations
-
Supporting reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
-
Inspecting electrical and mechanical equipment
-
Coordinating maintenance activity across multiple locations
-
Managing your workload and priorities independently
-
Working with site teams, contractors and specialist engineering providers
-
Maintaining accurate maintenance and engineering records
-
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a practical, self-motivated engineer who is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for the maintenance of several sites.
You will ideally have:

A recognised electrical apprenticeship
-
Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
-
Experience within an industrial, agricultural, manufacturing, utilities, processing or engineering environment

Practical mechanical maintenance capability
-
Experience with motors, control systems, electrical equipment and associated plant
-
The confidence to diagnose faults and make decisions independently
-
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a multi-site workload
-
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
-
A full UK driving licence
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualifications are not essential.
