Stores Assistant / Inventory Operative
to join
our client
at a highly advanced biogas plant on the outskirts of
Grantham . This is a rare opportunity to work on a
flagship, modern and exceptionally clean renewable energy site , backed by
AstraZeneca , and play a key part in supporting a cutting-edge operational environment. This role would suit someone with
stores, stock control, inventory or warehouse experience
who enjoys accuracy, organisation and being the person who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. THE ROLE As a
Stores Assistant / Inventory Operative , you will support the day-to-day running of the stores function, helping to ensure stock, parts, equipment and PPE are accurately managed and readily available for the wider site team. You will play an important role in maintaining stock accuracy, processing deliveries, updating systems and supporting engineering and operational teams across the site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Goods in, checking deliveries and receipting stock accurately Maintaining stock records and supporting inventory accuracy Using ERP systems to update parts, stock and purchase order information Supporting engineering teams by helping ensure required parts are available Raising purchase orders and chasing overdue supplier deliveries Coordinating PPE and clothing requests Helping keep the stores area organised, efficient and well controlled WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Previous experience in
stores, inventory, stock control, warehouse stores, engineering stores
or a similar role Reliable, dependable and well organised Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable handling stock systems, administration and day-to-day coordination A proactive approach and willingness to learn Experience with
ERP systems
would be useful Knowledge of
Microsoft Business Central
would be an advantage Forklift or telehandler experience
