We are recruiting for an
HR Advisor
to support the
Transport operation
of a major UK food and agriculture business, based near
Sleaford, Lincolnshire . This is a varied, hands-on HR role working closely with transport managers and employees across a busy operational workforce. You will provide practical HR advice, manage employee relations matters and help managers deal confidently and consistently with day-to-day people issues. The HR Advisor Role As HR Advisor, you will provide professional HR support across the Transport department, working closely with operational management and the wider HR team. Your responsibilities will include: Advising managers on
employee relations
matters including disciplinary, grievance, conduct and capability Managing and supporting
absence and sickness cases Coaching managers through HR policies, procedures and employee issues Supporting investigations, meetings and formal HR processes Providing practical advice in line with
UK employment legislation Supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee retention Maintaining accurate HR systems and employee records Supporting training, development and compliance activity Helping drive employee engagement and a positive workplace culture Supporting wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For We would like to hear from candidates currently working as an: HR Advisor | HR Officer | People Advisor | Employee Relations Advisor | HR Generalist | HR Coordinator You will ideally have: Previous experience in an
HR advisory or generalist role Strong practical experience of
employee relations Experience managing disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability matters Good knowledge of
UK employment law Confidence advising and supporting operational managers Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Good HR administration and HR systems experience A practical, resilient and solutions-focused approach CIPD qualification or be working towards CIPD Experience within
transport, logistics, distribution, warehousing, FMCG, food production, manufacturing or another high-volume operational environment
