The Role
As Engineering Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting a team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers, ensuring that production equipment, machinery and site services operate safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: Leading, supervising and supporting a team of electrical and mechanical maintenance engineers
Coordinating planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
Responding to engineering breakdowns and supporting fault diagnosis
Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing machinery
Supporting PLC-controlled production equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics
Maintaining site utilities, including boilers, cooling systems and water systems
Using CMMS systems to manage maintenance activities and maintain accurate records
Improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and supporting production efficiency
Identifying and delivering continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Supporting engineering projects, fabrication and site improvement activities
Maintaining high standards of health, safety and engineering compliance
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from experienced
Engineering Team Leaders, Maintenance Team Leaders, Engineering Supervisors and Senior Maintenance Engineers
with a strong maintenance background. You'll ideally bring: Previous experience supervising or leading a maintenance engineering team
Electrical and mechanical engineering qualifications
Strong multi-skilled maintenance and fault-finding experience
Experience working in manufacturing, production or food manufacturing environments
Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems
A solid understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance and breakdown response
Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems
Strong communication, problem-solving and team leadership skills
A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and continuous improvement
Experience maintaining
boilers, refrigeration, cooling systems, water systems or other site utilities
would be particularly beneficial. We're also interested in hearing from experienced Senior Maintenance Engineers who have taken on leadership responsibilities and are ready to progress into a formal team leadership position. Working Hours
Rotating early and late shifts: Early shift:
