EC&I / Control Systems Engineer
to join a growing renewable energy business supporting a portfolio of biogas plants and future energy projects. This is
not a general electrical maintenance role . We are looking for someone with genuine specialist experience in
control systems engineering, instrumentation, PLC programming, SCADA, loop tuning, calibration, DCS / SIS and industrial automation .

The Role
You will provide specialist
Electrical, Control & Instrumentation support
across operational sites and engineering projects. Working alongside Maintenance, Operations and Projects teams, you will take ownership of complex control, automation and instrumentation issues and support the continued development of plant reliability and performance.
Your responsibilities will include: Fault finding, calibration and maintenance of plant instrumentation Instrument loop checks,
PID / loop tuning
and optimisation Working with pressure, temperature, flow, level and gas-analysis instrumentation PLC programming, modification and fault diagnosis Working extensively with
Siemens Step7 Classic Programming and fault finding using
Siemens TIA Portal Supporting and developing
WinCC SCADA Maintaining PLC and SCADA software, backups and documentation Supporting
DCS and Safety Instrumented Systems SIS testing, proof testing and lifecycle documentation Commissioning instrumentation and control systems on new plants and upgrades Supporting control philosophies and Functional Design Specifications Diagnosing faults across industrial communication networks Working with virtualised / VM-based control-system environments Supporting OT infrastructure and industrial cyber security Supporting shutdowns, outages, modifications and plant improvement projects Participating in HAZOP, LOPA, DSEAR and functional-safety activities
What Were Looking For
We want to hear from experienced
EC&I Engineers, Control Systems Engineers, C&I Engineers, Instrument Engineers or Automation Engineers
from heavy industrial or process environments.
You will ideally have: Strong hands-on
control and instrumentation engineering
experience HNC, HND or equivalent in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering Electrical / EC&I / Automation apprenticeship or equivalent technical background Strong
Siemens Step7 Classic
experience Strong
TIA Portal
experience Experience with
WinCC SCADA Practical PLC programming and modification experience Strong instrumentation and calibration capability Loop checking and loop tuning experience DCS and/or SIS experience Commissioning experience Ability to read P&IDs, electrical drawings and control schematics Experience working in heavy industrial or process environments
