Are you an experienced Building Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician or Site Services Technician looking for a varied, hands-on role? You will work closely with the wider maintenance team and report to the Site Services Manager, helping ensure the site remains safe, compliant, efficient and well maintained.

The Building Maintenance Technician Role

As Building Maintenance Technician, you will support planned and reactive maintenance across the site, completing practical repairs and helping maintain buildings, fixtures, facilities and site services. Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out general building and facilities maintenance
  • Completing practical repairs, fitting and minor improvement works
  • Undertaking painting, decorating and general site upkeep
  • Supporting planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Maintaining fixtures, fittings and site equipment
  • Assisting with site inspections, audits and compliance checks
  • Supporting refurbishment and continuous improvement projects
  • Liaising with internal teams, contractors and suppliers
  • Supporting contractor management, permits to work and site access
  • Managing stock, consumables and spare parts
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

What Were Looking For

You will ideally have experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, site services or a similar practical role. You should have:

  • Previous building or facilities maintenance experience
  • Practical skills in fitting, painting, decorating and general repairs
  • A working knowledge of site services or building services
  • Good understanding of health and safety and safe working practices
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills
  • Good organisation and time management
  • Confidence dealing with contractors, suppliers and internal teams
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A reliable, flexible and proactive approach

Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, production, warehousing or another industrial environment would be advantageous. This role may also suit candidates working as a Facilities Technician, Site Services Technician, Maintenance Operative, Fabric Technician, Handyperson or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician.
