The role:

As a Trainee Enforcement Agent, you will support local authorities and communities by working with residents and business owners to bring unpaid council tax or business rates up to date. This is a responsible, field-based role where you will make in-person visits, manage a varied caseload and deal with a wide range of people and circumstances. You will be fully supported through a structured 12-week training programme, helping you gain your City & Guilds Taking Control of Goods Certification and develop a respected professional pathway in enforcement.

  • Maintaining accurate records, managing payments and following legal, regulatory and operational requirements
  • Working flexibly, including early mornings, some evenings and occasional weekends
  • Travelling as required, with some overnight stays where necessary
