Ready to step into a senior commercial role where your leadership genuinely shapes delivery? A major UK property services contractor is seeking a Lead Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of a high-value, multi-project portfolio across Cheshire and the surrounding region. This is a pivotal role within a market-leading organisation, delivering work that directly improves homes, communities and public spaces.

This is a company where loyalty is genuinely rewarded and clear career paths are the norm, not the exception. People build long-term futures here. You’ll be based from a pleasant, well-located office with a very collegiate, supportive team culture around you.

You won’t just manage numbers, you’ll build people. As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you’ll lead a relatively new team and actively develop them into a great team: high-performing, commercially sharp and proud of what they deliver. You’ll need to be a strong, visible leader, keen to mentor and develop trainees and graduates, helping shape the next generation of commercial talent.

You’ll have a very supportive Regional Manager, but they are not hands-on day to day. You’ll be trusted to manage your own diary, take the initiative, and lead with autonomy and confidence.

What’s in it for you:

  • Clear progression within a business that genuinely invests in its people
  • Competitive salary, bonus & car allowance
  • Enhanced holiday entitlement
  • Enhanced family leave
  • Project portfolio includes: Refurbishment, Passive Fire Protection and Retrofit & Energy Efficiency Programmes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading, mentoring, and shaping a team of surveyors, trainees and graduates
  • Creating a positive, high-performance culture – turning a good team into a great one
  • Owning financial performance across multiple contracts
  • Managing tenders, CVRs, WIP, forecasting and risk
  • Working closely with clients to build trusted partnerships
  • Ensuring commercial KPIs and subcontractor payments are on point

What we’re looking for:

  • BSc Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • 5+ years’ QS experience (planned maintenance / refurb / retrofit ideal)
  • Proven multi-contract and high-volume delivery
  • A natural leader who enjoys developing people
  • Comfortable working with autonomy and setting your own priorities
  • Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills

If you’re ready to lead from the front, take ownership, and build something lasting, this is your move. Apply now and take the next step in your career.
