Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking to join a professional, supportive and growing wealth management team? RecruitME is recruiting for a Paraplanner to join an established financial services business based in Stamford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge who can prepare high-quality Suitability Reports and support new and existing client business across investments, pensions, trusts and inheritance tax planning.

You will work closely with Independent Financial Advisers, senior colleagues and compliance professionals, helping to deliver accurate, efficient and fully compliant financial planning solutions.

The role

As Paraplanner, you will join the Wealth Management Support Team and report to the Compliance Manager and Head of Support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing clear, accurate and compliant Suitability Reports
  • Processing new and existing investment and pension business
  • Supporting cases involving trusts and inheritance tax planning
  • Assisting with protection and equity release business where required
  • Preparing annual client reviews
  • Using cash-flow modelling tools to support financial planning recommendations
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the case management system
  • Liaising with clients, product providers and industry professionals
  • Ensuring all work complies with FCA regulations, internal procedures and best practice
  • Supporting Independent Financial Advisers with technical and administrative work
  • Working closely with the Compliance Manager and Money Laundering Reporting Officer
  • Completing project-based work as required
  • Ensuring the clients' interests remain at the heart of every recommendation

About you

You will already have relevant experience within wealth management, financial planning or an IFA environment and be confident preparing Suitability Reports. You should have good knowledge of several of the following areas:

  • Pensions
  • Investments
  • Investment bonds
  • Trusts
  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Protection
  • Equity release

You will ideally be Diploma-qualified or currently working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning. Experience using Intelligent Office, IRESS The Exchange or cash-flow forecasting software would be beneficial.

You will also need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong report-writing ability
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good technical and analytical skills
  • A strong understanding of financial services compliance
  • The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Confidence dealing with clients, advisers and providers
  • High levels of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
  • A proactive and positive approach
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • A relevant degree in finance, economics or law would be advantageous but is not essential where you can demonstrate strong industry experience.
