We are recruiting an Engineering Team Leader to join a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing and food processing site. This is a hands-on leadership position, reporting into the Engineering Shift Manager, with responsibility for leading mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers on shift and ensuring plant reliability, safety and performance. This role suits an engineer who enjoys being on the tools, leading from the front and making a visible impact on site performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers on shift
- Act as deputy to the Engineering Shift Manager when required
- Prioritise and allocate engineering work to maintain production output
- Drive planned and preventative maintenance using CMMS / SAP PPM
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and permit-to-work systems
- Support training, mentoring and development of engineers and semi-skilled staff
- Coordinate contractors and visiting engineers for upgrades and improvement works
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and records
- Promote 5S standards and environmental compliance across the site
Candidate Profile
- Time-served Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
- Apprentice trained to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 4 years experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical or electrical background with proven fault-finding capability
- Previous team lead, supervisory or step-up leadership experience
- Confident decision-maker in a fast-paced production environment
- IT literate with experience of CMMS systems (SAP advantageous)
- Proactive, organised and safety-focused approach
