Are you a Site Services Engineer with experience in FMCG or food manufacturing looking for a role with real ownership? This is a hands-on Site Services Team Leader position within a high-volume, chilled FMCG environment. You will lead a small engineering team while taking full responsibility for utilities, boilers, refrigeration and site services plant. This role suits an engineer who enjoys being on site, solving problems and leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Site Services engineering team
- Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across site services
- Own boilers, refrigeration, utilities, compressed air, air handling, pipework and effluent plant
- Act as Deputy to the Senior Supervisor
- Attend daily engineering meetings and report on KPIs
- Manage breakdowns and corrective works from fault to close-out
- Write, review and update SSOWs and SOPs
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Food Hygiene standards
- Support production start-ups and minimise downtime
- Drive continuous improvement across site services
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience as a Site Services Engineer, Senior Engineer or Utilities Engineer
- Background in FMCG, food manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills
- Experience working with boilers, utilities and site services infrastructure
- Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers
- Proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving
Desirable Qualifications
- BOAS (Boiler Operation Accreditation Scheme)
- Asbestos Awareness
- Experience with refrigeration plant
