This is a new client-facing Customer Technical Quality Manager role in a fast-growing, award-winning manufacturing business supplying major UK retailers. This is a newly created role, introduced because of continued business growth. You’ll work alongside the existing Quality Management team, adding dedicated customer-facing technical support and helping strengthen the link between internal quality, compliance and external customer expectations.
If you’ve built your career around quality control, audits and compliance, and you’re confident dealing directly with customer technical and quality teams, this is a role where you’ll genuinely make an impact.
The Opportunity
This newly created position will see you take ownership of customer-facing technical and quality activity, acting as the key link between internal operations and external client expectations. You’ll be trusted to work directly with customer quality and technical teams, while also working closely with the existing Quality Management team to drive improvements across quality, compliance and KPI performance.
The Role
This is a customer-facing technical quality role with strong external client exposure.
- Act as a primary technical and quality contact for customers and retailers
- Support BRCGS and customer audits
- Work directly with customer quality control and technical teams to ensure compliance
- Oversee quality control processes and testing programmes
- Lead non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis and CAPA
- Maintain and develop the QMS
- Work alongside the existing Quality Management team to improve standards, processes and customer confidence
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a Quality Manager, Technical Manager, Customer Technical Manager, QA Manager or similar role.
- Background in food, nutraceutical, pharma or regulated manufacturing
- Experience with BRCGS audits and retailer standards
- Confident working with customer technical and quality teams
- Strong understanding of: HACCP, GMP, QMS, Food safety and compliance
