Are you a Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a permanent role with a condensed working week?
We're recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a busy engineering team at a large-scale food manufacturing site in Anwick. You'll work Saturday, Sunday and Monday only , giving you a highly attractive three-day working pattern while remaining in a permanent engineering role.
This is a hands-on maintenance position focused on keeping production machinery running safely, efficiently and reliably.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Carrying out mechanical maintenance across production machinery and equipment
- Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Completing planned preventative maintenance
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
- Identifying recurring faults and contributing to continuous improvement
- Working safely and following site engineering procedures
- Supporting the wider engineering team across a busy manufacturing environment
What We're Looking For
We'd like to hear from engineers with a strong mechanical background who are practical, reliable and confident working in a fast-paced production environment.
You may currently be working as a:
- Mechanical Engineer
- Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Maintenance Engineer
- Multi-Skilled Engineer
- Mechanical Technician
- Engineering Technician
- FMCG Maintenance Engineer
Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, production, manufacturing or another industrial environment would be particularly relevant. Strong mechanical fault-finding skills are important for this role.
