Are you an experienced HR Advisor, HR Officer or Employee Relations Advisor looking for a varied, hands-on role in a fast-moving operational environment? We are recruiting for a confident and proactive HR Advisor to support a busy Agriculture division across several operations. This is a great opportunity to join a small, friendly HR team where you will provide practical HR advice, support managers with employee relations, and help shape a positive people culture across multiple sites.
This role would suit someone from manufacturing, food production, FMCG, agriculture, logistics, warehousing or another fast-paced multi-site environment.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you will support the Senior HR Advisor and HR Business Partner with the day-to-day delivery of a generalist HR service. You will work closely with managers and operational teams, providing clear advice on HR policies, employee relations, absence, performance, engagement, recruitment, training and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice to managers and colleagues across multiple sites
- Support and advise on ER cases including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and capability
- Coach managers on people matters, performance, engagement and policy application
- Support absence management, return-to-work processes and absence reduction plans
- Maintain accurate HR records, systems, case notes and employee documentation
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training compliance and employee lifecycle activity
- Champion positive culture, wellbeing and engagement across the sites
- Support change, workforce planning and continuous improvement activity
- Travel across agricultural sites as required
About You
- You will ideally be an experienced HR Advisor, HR Officer, People Advisor, ER Advisor or HR Generalist with experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous HR advisory experience
- Strong employee relations experience
- Good knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Confidence advising and coaching managers
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Practical, resilient and solutions-focused approach
- Good HR systems and Microsoft Office skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture, production, logistics or multi-site operations would be highly advantageous.
