The Role
As Contracts Supervisor, you will support the delivery of planned works projects across occupied properties, social housing, refurbishment and property improvement programmes. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activity, coordinating labour and subcontractors, maintaining health and safety standards, supporting programme delivery and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Supervising planned works across sites in Leeds and the Yorkshire region
- Coordinating direct labour, subcontractors and site activity

We’re looking for a practical and organised supervisor who can keep planned works moving on site while maintaining safety, quality and customer care. You do not need to be overly corporate, but you do need to be reliable, professional, organised and confident managing trades, dealing with residents, checking standards and supporting the Contracts Manager with programme delivery.
This role may suit someone currently working as a Contracts Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Works Supervisor, Planned Works Supervisor, Refurbishment Supervisor, Social Housing Supervisor, Foreperson, Working Supervisor, Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Multi-Trade Supervisor, Painting Supervisor, Decorating Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience as a Contracts Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Works Supervisor, Foreperson, Site Manager or Working Supervisor
- Background in planned works, refurbishment, social housing, property services or maintenance
- Strong trade understanding, ideally from painting, decorating, joinery, plastering, multi-trade, planned maintenance or refurbishment
- Experience managing operatives, subcontractors and day-to-day site activity
- Good understanding of health and safety, RAMS, toolbox talks and site compliance
- Ability to read programmes, plan work and manage priorities
- Strong communication skills with clients, residents, trades and internal teams
- Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Basic IT and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence
