Are you an experienced Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager or Senior Supervisor with a strong background in planned works, kitchens and bathrooms, social housing refurbishment or property services? This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing property services contractor delivering planned maintenance and refurbishment contracts across Yorkshire.
You will take ownership of multiple contracts from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys managing teams, building client relationships and keeping projects moving properly on site.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will manage the successful delivery of allocated planned works and refurbishment contracts, with a focus on quality, safety, programme control, commercial performance and customer satisfaction. You will be a visible leader across sites, supporting supervisors and operatives, solving issues quickly and making sure projects are delivered to the required standard.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Taking full responsibility for the successful delivery of allocated contracts
- Managing planned works, kitchen and bathroom programmes, refurbishment and property improvement projects
- Leading and supporting Site Supervisors, operatives and subcontractors
- Planning, mobilising and managing programmes of work
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards
- Monitoring productivity, progress, costs and performance
- Promoting strong health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards
- Building and developing directly employed teams, including apprentices
- Managing site administration, records, welfare and PPE compliance
- Reducing waste and ensuring efficient use of labour, materials and resources
- Supporting recruitment, induction, training and team development
- Attending client and branch meetings
- Building strong working relationships with clients, residents, site teams and supply chain partners
- Communicating clearly on progress, costs, quality and performance

The Candidate
We are looking for a confident, practical and commercially aware Contracts Manager who understands the pace of planned works and social housing refurbishment. You will need strong leadership skills, good construction knowledge and the ability to manage people, programmes, client expectations and site performance.
This role may suit someone currently working as a: Contracts Manager, Planned Works Manager, Refurbishment Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, Construction Manager, Property Services Manager, Kitchen and Bathroom Contracts Manager, Social Housing Contracts Manager, Maintenance Manager or Senior Supervisor.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience managing contracts or projects within construction, refurbishment, property services or planned works
- Strong background in kitchens and bathrooms, planned maintenance, social housing or occupied property works
- Experience managing labour-based activity across multiple sites
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good knowledge of trades, site delivery and local labour supply
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Sound judgement and confident decision-making

- Ability to manage quality, cost, programme and health and safety
Qualifications
You will ideally hold:
- Minimum 5 years trade experience
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds Advanced / Craft Certificate
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card, ideally Advanced Craft, Supervisor or Manager level
- Full UK driving licence
