Our client is a well-established and expanding engineering training organisation, delivering Level 3, 4 and 5 engineering apprenticeships, higher education and upskilling programmes to 300+ engineering and manufacturing employers. Working closely with industry, they ensure training remains practical, relevant and aligned to real-world engineering environments. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Engineering Lecturer to help develop the next generation of engineering professionals.

This role is ideal for experienced engineers who enjoy mentoring, explaining complex concepts and developing others.

The Role

This is more than a teaching position. As an Engineering Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, structured learning to apprentices and adult learners, supporting both technical capability and professional behaviours. The role is primarily classroom-based, covering subjects such as:

  • Mechanical Principles & Engineering Maths
  • Engineering Science & Design
  • Fluid Mechanics & CAD
  • Health & Safety & Lean Manufacturing
  • Professional Engineering Management
  • Production Engineering
  • Quality & Process Improvement
  • Supervising Level 3 & 4 engineering projects
  • Supervising Level 5 research projects

You'll be fully supported by an experienced teaching and quality team, with structured training to support your transition into education.

Who We're Looking For

  • Essential Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Significant industry experience
  • Strong technical and IT skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal ability
  • Genuine interest in developing others
  • Teaching experience is NOT required - full training and support will be provided.

Location & Travel

Primary base: Hull. Occasional travel to Grimsby and Scunthorpe. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required.
