RecruitME is recruiting for a Technical Administrator to join a professional financial planning business in Grantham on a maternity cover contract. This is a varied administration role covering both general office administration and technical financial planning support, including client data input, advisor diary management, booking meetings and preparing information ahead of client appointments.
The role would suit an organised, accurate and professional administrator who enjoys working in a busy office environment, is confident handling client information and has strong attention to detail. Previous experience within financial services administration, IFA administration, wealth management, financial planning support or another regulated office environment would be beneficial. However, strong administrators from other professional, process-driven backgrounds will also be considered.

The role
As Technical Administrator, you will support the Managing Director, partners and financial advisors with the day-to-day running of the financial planning administration function. You will be responsible for a mix of general administration duties and technical administration tasks, ensuring client information is entered accurately, meetings are booked efficiently and advisors have the information they need ahead of client meetings. This is a key support role where accuracy, organisation and communication are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing information and documentation for financial advisor client meetings
- Booking client meetings for partners and advisors by telephone, email and Calendly
- Supporting advisor diary management and appointment coordination
- Entering client and meeting information accurately onto internal systems
- Maintaining accurate client records and updating the client information database
- Supporting general office administration and day-to-day team coordination
- Ensuring client information is handled accurately and professionally
- Helping the business deliver a high standard of service to clients
- Working closely with advisors, partners and colleagues across the office
- Supporting regulated administration processes and training where required
About you
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Technical Administrator, Financial Planning Administrator, Financial Services Administrator, IFA Administrator, Office Administrator, Client Services Administrator or Administrator
- Experience within financial services administration would be preferred
- Experience in a regulated, professional or process-driven environment would be desirable
- Strong general administration skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence with data input and maintaining client records
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Professional telephone and email communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- A positive, flexible and team-focused approach
- Willingness to learn and undertake training where required
Location
This role is based in Grantham, making it commutable from Sleaford, Newark, Stamford, Bourne, Melton Mowbray, Bottesford, Colsterworth, Oakham and surrounding areas across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
