Are you an experienced Stores Assistant, Engineering Stores Operative, Warehouse Operative or Inventory Controller looking for a stable role supporting a busy engineering and maintenance function? We’re recruiting for a well-established renewable energy business looking to strengthen its Central Stores team.
This is a varied role covering engineering spares, stock control, deliveries, purchase orders, PPE, inventory accuracy and site stock checks. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production and other operational teams to make sure the right parts are available when needed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Receive, check and receipt incoming deliveries
- Maintain accurate stock and inventory records
- Support Engineering with spare parts for planned maintenance and outages
- Raise and manage purchase orders
- Chase overdue deliveries and liaise with suppliers
- Maintain PPE and clothing stock
- Support stock counts, audits and discrepancy investigations
- Maintain accurate records of loaned tools and equipment
- Help manage service kits and Bills of Materials
- Keep the stores area safe, tidy and organised
You’ll ideally have experience in a stores, engineering stores, warehouse, inventory, parts or stock-control environment. You’ll also need:
- Good attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence using Excel and Microsoft Office
- Good organisational skills
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Full UK driving licence
- A forklift or telehandler licence would be useful but is not essential.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central or another ERP system would also be an advantage.
