Are you a Production Manager with strong LEAN manufacturing skills and a passion for operational excellence? This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UKs leading full-service nutraceutical manufacturers, producing vitamins, minerals and sports supplements for major brands. Operating in a highly regulated, clean and technically advanced environment, this business is investing heavily in people, systems and state-of-the-art equipment to support rapid growth.

They now require an additional Production Manager with proven LEAN capability someone who can remove waste, improve flow, increase efficiency and embed world-class manufacturing standards across a modern, high-value production operation. Joining a growing leadership team, you will lead from the front, driving performance, quality and continuous improvement.

The Role

You will take ownership of manufacturing performance, working closely with Planning, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain to deliver:

  • On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) production performance
  • GMP-compliant operations
  • High-performing production teams
  • Efficient use of labour, materials and advanced machinery
  • Safe, audit-ready manufacturing environments
  • Continuous improvement through LEAN, 5S and data-driven methods
  • Successful scale-up of new products and commissioning of new equipment

Youll be a visible leader on the shop floor, coaching Team Leaders and Operatives and setting clear standards in a clean, precision-led manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily and weekly production schedules
  • Maintain GMP, HACCP, BRC and ISO compliance
  • Lead and develop Team Leaders and Operatives
  • Drive LEAN manufacturing and waste elimination
  • Embed 5S and continuous improvement culture
  • Reduce downtime, scrap and inefficiency
  • Support new line and equipment commissioning
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and R&D
  • Track KPIs and report performance to senior leadership

About You

  • Production Manager experience in food, pharmaceutical, supplement or clean manufacturing
  • Strong GMP and regulated-environment background
  • Proven LEAN manufacturing capability (waste removal, efficiency improvement)
  • Working knowledge of 5S, CI tools and operational excellence frameworks
  • ERP experience SAP or similar
  • Experience commissioning new equipment or production lines
  • Confident leader in fast-paced manufacturing environments

Desirable:

  • HACCP / FSMS
  • Six Sigma / LEAN accreditation
  • Internal audit or project delivery experience
