Monday to Friday DAYS ONLY Full-time | Permanent | On-Call Rota (1 in 4 to 5). If you're an Electrical Engineer who enjoys fault finding, improving plant performance and working on real industrial systems, this is where you want to be. We're recruiting for an Electrical Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a fast-growing waste to energy success story, operating a modern anaerobic digestion facility. This is a hands-on, site-based engineering role where you'll be trusted to keep the plant running safely, efficiently and reliably, not sat behind a desk.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Working across a live process plant environment, supporting operations and driving performance.
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding across plant equipment.
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown response.
- SCADA monitoring, diagnostics and system checks.
- Supporting plant performance and uptime across AD, CHP and process systems.
- Working on motors, pumps, conveyors and associated plant machinery.
- Supporting continuous improvement and engineering upgrades.
- Managing spares, stock and supplier coordination.
- Supervising contractors and working within permit-to-work systems.
What's In It For You:
- Strong salary with progression built in.
- £45,000 starting salary; £47,500 after successful probation.
- A proper engineering role - not a back-office job, this is hands-on, plant-based engineering.
- Real exposure to renewable energy, anaerobic digestion and process systems.
- Opportunity to work across electrical, mechanical and control systems.
- Autonomy and responsibility.
- Small on-site team - you'll be one of the engineers keeping the plant running.
- Trusted to make decisions, solve problems and take ownership.
- Career growth in renewables.
- Work alongside Group Engineers and develop in a growing sector.
- Exposure to modern plant, SCADA systems and continuous improvement.
Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 42 hours.
- 1 in 4 to 5 call-out rota (with TOIL).
- Pension scheme.
- Life assurance.
- Health cash plan.
- Buy and sell holiday.
- Sick pay and additional leave policies.
- Free on-site parking.
- Long service recognition.
What We're Looking For:
- Essential: Level 3 Engineering Qualification (Electrical).
- 18th Edition.
- Experience in a similar maintenance or process environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding capability.
- Good mechanical understanding.
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams and engineering drawings.
- Experience using maintenance systems.
- Full UK driving licence (or reliable commute to site).
- Willingness to be part of an on-call rota.
Desirable:
- Experience in anaerobic digestion, utilities, wastewater or industrial process environments.
- Welding or fabrication skills.
- FLT, MEWP or Telehandler licences.
Why This Role?
This isn't just another maintenance role. It's an opportunity to be part of a fast-growing waste to energy operation, where what you do directly impacts plant performance, uptime and energy production. If you want a role where you're trusted, challenged and actually making a difference, this is it.
Interested? If you're an Electrical Engineer with strong mechanical skills and you want to step into a role where you can take ownership and develop within renewable energy, we want to hear from you.
