The role
As an Electrical Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll support the safe and efficient running of a busy process site near Hemswell Cliff, Gainsborough. You'll be involved in planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding, repairs, improvements and engineering support across a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Day to day, you will:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical plant equipment
- Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
- Fault-find on motors, sensors, control panels, drives, process machinery and site systems
- Work on mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, conveyors, rotating equipment and associated plant
- Complete repairs, installations, inspections and technical improvements
- Use maintenance systems to record PPMs, defects, breakdowns and corrective actions
- Support site improvement projects, upgrades and modifications
- Help monitor plant performance through SCADA and process data
- Support safe systems of work, isolation procedures and permit-to-work processes
- Supervise contractors on site when required
- Work closely with site operations to improve reliability, uptime and engineering standards
- Take part in the on-call rota for out-of-hours engineering support
What we're looking for
We're looking for an electrically biased engineer who is practical, reliable and confident working in a live industrial environment. You will ideally have:
- Level 3 electrical engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent
- 18th Edition qualification preferred
- Strong industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Mechanical maintenance capability
- Experience with PPMs, reactive breakdowns and fault finding
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using a CMMS or maintenance management system
- Good understanding of safe systems of work
- Experience supervising contractors or working with permits to work
- Full UK driving licence or reliable ability to travel to site
- Flexibility to support the call-out rota
