An established national energy services organisation is seeking an experienced Field Services Delivery Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team across the West Midlands. This is a senior, field-based leadership role with real operational impact. You will be responsible for driving performance, safety, quality and customer satisfaction across a team of around 15 field engineers, ensuring delivery against key contractual KPIs and service level agreements. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong leader who enjoys being visible in the field, coaching engineers side-by-side, and playing a hands-on role in operational delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of field engineers, ensuring consistent delivery of installation and service targets
- Spend the majority of your time in the field providing coaching, performance management and technical support
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, safety and customer satisfaction
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
- Monitor engineer performance using audits, KPIs and compliance data
- Support onboarding, training and ongoing development of new and existing engineers
- Manage timesheets, attendance and performance reviews
- Support investigation of incidents and customer complaints
- Work closely with internal teams including Compliance, HR and Performance Managers
- Participate in on-call and, in exceptional circumstances, support field delivery directly
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a supervisory or field management role
- Strong coaching and leadership capability
- A background in utilities or smart metering
- Dual Fuel Meter Engineer qualification
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety and operational compliance
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A hands-on, field-focused leadership style
- Full UK driving licence
