Our clients state of the art Technical Training Academy is looking for an Academy Maintenance Technician to support training activities and be responsible for maintenance and stock control. They are passionate about empowering individuals with the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to thrive across a range of industries. They are now looking for a hands-on, organised, and technically minded individual to join their growing team as an Academy Maintenance Technician. In this vital role, you’ll ensure the training centre runs smoothly, providing logistical, technical, and operational support to help the trainers and learners get the most from their experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Academy facility.
- Support trainers during sessions and help create engaging, hands-on learning environments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot technical equipment, ensuring everything is in safe working order.
- Manage the ordering, stock control, and distribution of tools, uniforms, and equipment for engineers.
- Maintain accurate records of issued equipment and oversee the calibration of training tools.
- Collaborate with the wider team to continuously improve the training offer and learner experience.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Academy infrastructure.
What You’ll Bring
- Practical experience in maintenance, electrical, or plumbing tasks (qualifications desirable but not essential).
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
- Comfortable with technical equipment, including software and training-related tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills.
