THE OPPORTUNITY

This is not a desk-based role. We're looking for a hands-on Roofing Site Manager to oversee works across multiple sites within the South West, delivering planned and reactive roofing works within social housing. You'll be managing a mix of direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. You will spend the majority of your time out on site, with occasional days in the Exeter office for admin and reporting.

THE ROLE

  • Manage day-to-day roofing site operations across multiple projects
  • Oversee pitched roofing (slate, tile, concrete) and flat roofing systems
  • Supervise roofing teams and subcontractors
  • Ensure full Health & Safety compliance (RAMS, site standards)
  • Liaise with clients, tenants, and internal teams
  • Problem-solve on site including materials, labour, and delivery challenges
  • Maintain accurate site records, reporting, and documentation
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines
  • Travel between sites across the South West

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience as a Roofing Site Manager or Roofing Supervisor
  • Strong technical knowledge of pitched roofing (slate, tile, concrete) and flat roofing systems
  • Experience within social housing, planned works, or maintenance
  • SMSTS qualification (essential)
  • First Aid qualification
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comfortable working in a field-based role with travel
