Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a role that offers far more variety than a standard factory or commercial maintenance position? Were recruiting for a leading sporting and live entertainment venue in Nottingham. Youll maintain essential electrical systems, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, deliver electrical installations and provide temporary power for concerts, sporting fixtures and major events. This is an unusual opportunity to combine electrical maintenance with live-event engineering in a high-profile, fast-moving environment. The Opportunity Working within an established Facilities team, youll help ensure the venues electrical infrastructure, plant and building services remain safe, compliant and reliable. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults Completing electrical installations and infrastructure improvements Installing temporary electrical supplies for live events Supporting event power and technical requirements Managing technical delivery during sporting fixtures and event nights Inspecting electrical systems and identifying remedial work Completing some general building and non-electrical maintenance Supervising contractors and operational staff when required Producing risk assessments, safe working procedures and maintenance reports Recording work through building and asset management systems Ensuring compliance with electrical and health and safety regulations What Were Looking For Youll be a qualified electrician or electrical maintenance engineer with experience in commercial, industrial, facilities, manufacturing or another technically demanding environment. You will need: An electrical apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Electrical maintenance, installation and fault-finding experience Experience completing planned and reactive maintenance A good understanding of electrical safety and statutory compliance Knowledge of risk assessments and safe working procedures The ability to organise your own workload and work unsupervised Good IT, reporting and communication skills A flexible and customer-focused approach Experience with temporary electrical supplies, event power, audio-visual equipment or building management systems would be particularly useful. IOSH, ECS/JIB, First Aid, IPAF or PASMA qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential. More Than a Standard Maintenance Role This is a hands-on position within a busy public venue where engineering performance directly affects events, customers and performers. Youll need to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly when priorities change. The 40-hour working week will include a mixture of days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with the venues event programme. Why Apply?
