Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Maintenance & Service Delivery: Support and oversee the maintenance, testing, and service delivery of our fleet, ensuring top performance and reliability.
- Incident Management: Provide technical expertise in resolving defects, incidents, and disruptions, minimising downtime and maximising fleet availability.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate technical records related to fleet condition, performance, and reliability, ensuring compliance with Safety Management System (SMS).
- Asset Management: Support spare parts tracking, equipment servicing, and manage fleet obsolescence for continued operation.
- Industry Collaboration: Represent the company at forums, technical meetings, and discussions with suppliers and stakeholders.
What Were Looking For:
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in a technical or engineering discipline.
- Experience in managing or maintaining traction and rolling stock.
- Strong IT skills (MS Office, TOPS/R2/RSL/Genius, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical faults.
- Ability to produce technical and non-technical reports.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when needed.
- Full driving licence (desirable).
- Knowledge of rail engineering practices.
