Energy from Waste, biomass, CHP, steam raising or process plant operations ? We're recruiting urgently for a
Shift Team Leader
to join a power plant facility in South Lanarkshire. You'll take responsibility for the safe and reliable operation of the plant, leading the shift team and controlling key plant systems including
turbines, boilers, pumps, water treatment and associated process equipment via DCS/HMI/SCADA systems . The Role
Lead safe and efficient shift operations across the plant Start, stop and monitor turbines, boilers and process equipment via DCS Monitor plant performance and environmental compliance Supervise plant rounds, inspections and shift reporting Support minor reactive maintenance and process stoppages Oversee boiler, cooling and plant water treatment Manage, coach and develop the Shift Team Coordinate contractors and operational staff where required Support continuous improvement of SOPs and plant performance You'll ideally have: Experience in
power generation, Energy from Waste, biomass, CHP, steam raising or heavy process operations Strong
DCS, HMI or SCADA
experience Control room and plant-floor operating experience HNC, NVQ or equivalent technical qualification, or strong time-served experience Good mechanical awareness and basic fitting skills Strong problem-solving and communication skills Previous team leadership or team-development experience IOSH, NEBOSH, BOAS, Electrical AP or SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
