Why This Role Will Interest You
This is a management-led retrofit role, not a hands-on site position. You’ll be trusted to plan, coordinate and lead fabric-first decarbonisation projects across South Wales—working on EWI, Solar PV and associated structural works within occupied social housing environments. If you enjoy programme control, stakeholder management, and delivering quality at scale, this role is built for you.

- Car allowance + fuel card + bonus
- 31 days holiday + benefits
- Monday to Friday working (no weekends)
- Long-term job security within a national retrofit programme
- PAS Academy training provided (PAS2035 experience not required)
- Clear progression within retrofit, decarbonisation & sustainability
- Supportive leadership and structured delivery environment
The Role
Based from Newport (NP19), you’ll oversee multiple live retrofit sites across Cardiff, Bridgend, Newport and Ebbw Vale. You’ll take ownership of programme delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, residents, and subcontract partners. This role suits a commercially aware Site Manager who is confident managing multiple workstreams, rather than a trade-led or “on the tools” supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and programme fabric-first retrofit projects across multiple sites
- Lead subcontractors and enforce health & safety compliance
- Oversee EWI, Solar PV, and structural / brickwork repairs
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, residents, and stakeholders
- Track progress, budgets and performance using spreadsheets and digital tools
- Carry out site inspections to ensure quality, productivity and compliance
- Support operational and commercial teams with reporting and delivery targets
About You
- Proven experience in social housing, retrofit or planned maintenance
- Strong knowledge of EWI, PV or energy efficiency projects
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable using Excel / spreadsheets for programming and reporting
- Understanding of structural and brickwork repairs
- SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely + First Aid at Work
- Organised, proactive and safety-focused
- PAS2035 knowledge desirable (full training provided)
Why Apply
This is a genuine opportunity to step into a future-focused construction role, delivering meaningful improvements to homes and communities across South Wales. You’ll join a business with long-term contracts, consistent workflow, and real investment in people—not a short-term project hire.
