We are recruiting for a Proposals Engineer Industrial Construction to support the delivery of major mechanical, civil and E&I installation projects across heavy industrial and process plant environments. The Role Proposals Engineer
This is a highly visible role sitting between engineering, construction, commercial and project delivery teams. You'll play a key part in developing technical and commercial proposals for major industrial installation, upgrade and refurbishment projects.
Projects may include:
- Industrial burners
- Combustion systems
- Flares
- Incinerators
- Mechanical plant installations
- Process plant upgrades
- Energy and industrial infrastructure projects
Key Responsibilities
- Produce technical and commercial proposals for industrial construction and installation projects
- Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, layouts and technical specifications
- Develop accurate cost estimates and commercial build-ups
- Define detailed scope of work and execution strategies
- Support tendering and bid activities
- Conduct site surveys and constructability reviews across EMEA
- Liaise with contractors regarding mechanical, civil and E&I installation works
- Develop proposal schedules and installation methodologies
- Support technical clarification meetings and customer presentations
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure technically robust solutions

What You'll Need
- Experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, Energy from Waste, process engineering or heavy industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of mechanical, civil and E&I installation activities
- Experience with technical proposals, estimating or bid preparation
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel internationally when required
