We are recruiting for an experienced Fire Protection Branch Operations Manager to lead a busy regional fire protection operation across the South West and South Wales. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for operational delivery, commercial performance, people leadership, client relationships and branch success.
You will lead multidisciplinary operational, commercial and administrative teams delivering fire protection works across a wide range of public and private sector clients.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Fire Protection Operations Manager, Passive Fire Operations Manager, Senior Contracts Manager, Regional Contracts Manager, Fire Contracts Manager or Business Unit Manager with a strong background in fire protection, passive fire, fire stopping, fire doors, refurbishment, property services or specialist contracting.
The role:
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional fire protection team
- Take ownership of operational and financial performance, including full P&L accountability
- Manage multiple fire protection, refurbishment and compliance-led contracts
- Oversee directly employed workforce and operational management teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and senior leaders
- Drive commercial performance, productivity and operational improvement
- Manage operational risk, compliance, quality and health & safety standards
- Support recruitment, succession planning and team development
- Create a positive, accountable and performance-led culture across the branch
About you:
- Senior operational leadership experience within fire protection, passive fire, fire stopping, fire doors, refurbishment, property services or a related contracting environment
- Experience managing multiple contracts and operational teams
- Experience managing a directly employed workforce
- Previous responsibility for a branch, business unit, department or regional operation
- Full P&L accountability
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- Good understanding of health & safety, compliance and quality standards within construction or fire protection
- Confident leadership, communication and people management skills
- Full UK driving licence
- IOSH Managing Safely and/or SMSTS
Package:
- £60,000–£70,000 DOE
- Bonus opportunity up to 25%
