Are you a senior Passive Fire Operations Manager, Regional Manager or Branch Manager looking for the opportunity to lead one of the most exciting fire protection growth operations in the Midlands? We are recruiting confidentially for a national property services and fire protection contractor that has secured approximately £4 million of passive fire work across the East and West Midlands. With a strong pipeline of opportunities, continued tender success and significant regional demand, the operation is expected to grow towards £5 million to £6 million and beyond.
This is a major leadership opportunity for someone who can take control of a growing regional operation, create structure across multiple teams and build a high-performing, commercially successful passive fire branch. The successful candidate will be based from the company’s office in Birmingham, close to the M5, with responsibility across the wider Midlands region.
The Opportunity
This is not simply a contract management position. As Branch Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the Fire Midlands operation. You will inherit a significant secured workload and a region with exceptional growth potential. Your challenge will be to bring together delivery across the East and West Midlands, strengthen the operating structure and ensure the business can scale without compromising safety, quality, compliance or profitability.
The operation delivers passive fire protection programmes including:
- Fire door installation and replacement
- Fire door remedial works
- Fire stopping
- FRA-led programmes
- Fire compliance contracts
- Long-term social housing and public-sector programmes
A substantial amount of work has already been secured in the East Midlands, while the Birmingham office provides a strong base for the wider West Midlands operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the Fire Midlands branch
- Managing approximately £4 million of secured work
- Driving growth towards £5 million to £6 million and beyond
- Creating an effective operational structure across East and West Midlands delivery
- Bringing consistency across multiple offices, teams and contracts
- Leading operational, commercial, contracts and delivery teams
- Maintaining oversight of all major live projects
- Building and developing key client relationships
- Acting as the senior escalation point for operational and commercial matters
- Managing forecasts, budgets, margins and profitability
- Ensuring agreed revenue and performance targets are achieved
- Leading branch performance meetings
- Managing directly employed operatives and specialist subcontractors
- Maintaining high health and safety standards
- Ensuring compliance, audit, quality and documentation requirements are met
- Supporting tender opportunities and regional business growth
- Developing and mentoring the management team
- Creating a scalable, accountable and high-performing operation
About You

- Passive fire protection
- Fire door installation and replacement
- Fire door remedial programmes
- Fire stopping
- FRA-led contracts
- Social housing or public-sector compliance programmes
- Branch, regional or multi-site leadership
- Managing multiple contracts and operational teams
- Commercial forecasting
- Budget, margin and profitability management

- Scaling, restructuring or improving an operation
You do not need to be a fire engineer or technical regulatory specialist. Our client is looking for a commercially capable operational leader who understands passive fire delivery and can build the people, processes and structure required to support significant growth.
Why Apply?
This is one of the organisation’s strongest regional growth areas. You will be joining at a point when the business already has significant secured work, a strong opportunity pipeline and the backing to grow further. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious passive fire leader who wants more than responsibility for individual contracts. You will have the platform to shape a regional operation, build a high-performing team and play a central role in the next stage of the company’s growth.
