The role

As a Junior Electromechanical Field Installation Engineer, you will be trained to deliver and install parking solutions equipment at customer car park sites across Dorset, Hampshire and nearby areas. You will work from home, travel to customer sites, install equipment correctly, complete basic testing and checks, and make sure each installation is completed neatly, safely and professionally. The work is not overly complicated once trained, but it does require someone with practical electromechanical ability, good attention to detail and a professional approach. This is a very consistent role. Much of the work involves similar installations day to day, so it would suit someone who is steady, dependable and happy doing routine work properly.

Who this could suit

  • An early-career electromechanical engineer
  • A mechanical or electrical technician looking for a field-based role
  • A service leaver with practical engineering, REME, RAF, Royal Navy or technical military experience
  • A veteran looking for a stable civilian engineering role
  • Someone from a hands-on technical background who wants structured training
  • A practical, steady person who enjoys working independently and dealing with customers

Ex-military candidates encouraged

This role could be a strong fit for service leavers or veterans who have developed practical technical skills, discipline, reliability and the confidence to work independently. You do not need direct parking equipment experience. If you have worked with mechanical, electrical, electronic, vehicle, plant, communications or technical systems in the Armed Forces, your background could transfer well into this role. The company values reliability, professionalism and customer service, which are often strong qualities brought by ex-military candidates.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver and install parking solutions equipment at client car parks
  • Carry out practical electromechanical installation work after training
  • Use hand tools and basic installation equipment
  • Complete basic testing and functional checks after installation

  • Provide a professional, customer-focused service on site
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
