This is a programme-led retrofit management role — not a hands-on, trade-based Site Manager position. You’ll lead fabric-first decarbonisation projects, overseeing External Wall Insulation (EWI), Solar PV installations, and associated structural and brickwork works across multiple live sites in the Bristol and surrounding regions.

If you enjoy planning, leadership, stakeholder management, and delivery at scale, this role is designed for you.

What’s In It For You

  • £40,000 – £45,000 salary
  • Car allowance, fuel card and bonus
  • 31 days holiday + benefits
  • Monday–Friday working (no weekend site work)
  • Long-term job security with a respected national contractor
  • Established retrofit & decarbonisation programme
  • PAS Academy training provided (PAS2035 experience not required)
  • Clear career progression in sustainability-focused construction
  • Supportive, structured and collaborative management team

The Opportunity

Based from Bristol, you’ll manage delivery across Bristol, Bath, Somerset and Gloucestershire, coordinating multiple live retrofit sites simultaneously. You’ll take ownership of programme delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to specification, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams.

This role suits a commercially aware Site Manager who can confidently manage programmes and people — not a jobbing or tools-on role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme and manage retrofit works across multiple live sites
  • Lead subcontractor teams and enforce health & safety compliance
  • Oversee EWI, Solar PV and fabric-first improvement works, including structural and brick repairs
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, residents and stakeholders
  • Use spreadsheets and digital systems to track progress, budgets and performance
  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure quality, productivity and compliance
  • Support operational and commercial teams with reporting and delivery targets

About You

  • Proven experience in social housing, retrofit or planned maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of EWI, Solar PV or energy efficiency works
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident using Excel / spreadsheets and digital reporting tools
  • Understanding of structural and brickwork repair processes
  • SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely (First Aid at Work preferred)
  • Organised, proactive and safety-focused
  • PAS2035 knowledge desirable – full training provided
