Confident delivering vaccinations and taking blood? Looking for a short-term nursing contract with daytime hours and one clinic location each day?
Recruiting Heads is recruiting two experienced Vaccination Nurses to deliver onsite clinics across London, supporting healthcare students and staff with their vaccination, immunisation and screening requirements.
This is a practical, patient-facing role for nurses who enjoy running an organised clinic, working independently and helping people meet the health requirements for work or university placements.
The contract Duration: Two months.
Location: London, working across different client sites.
Daily arrangement: One onsite clinic per day, with no travel between clinics during the working day.
Hours: 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm.
PAYE: Pay equivalent to £37,000 per annum, full-time equivalent , pro rata for the contract.
Ltd company: £28–£30 per hour .
What you'll be doing
You will manage the day-to-day delivery of vaccination and screening clinics, providing a professional, welcoming service and maintaining high clinical standards.
Your responsibilities will include: Assessing vaccination and screening requirements for healthcare workers and students.
Administering vaccinations in line with Green Book schedules and the provider's written orders.
Carrying out phlebotomy and accurately recording blood tests, immunisations and clinical information.
Maintaining vaccine storage and the cold chain, including during transport to clinic sites.
Keeping the clinic environment, equipment and supplies organised and ready for use.
Following infection prevention, specimen handling and sharps disposal procedures.
Supporting health surveillance, exposure follow-up and contact tracing where required.
Training will be provided on the provider's clinical IT system.
What we're looking for
You will need: Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrable experience in vaccination, immunisation and phlebotomy.
The confidence to run an onsite clinic independently and work within clinical protocols.
Strong organisational skills, accurate record keeping and close attention to detail.
A friendly, professional approach and clear communication skills.
Good IT skills and the ability to learn a new clinical system.
The flexibility to work at different London sites throughout the contract.
Health surveillance experience would be useful where this forms part of the clinic requirements.
