Vaccination Nurse
to deliver onsite clinics in
York , with someone needed
as soon as possible . There are approximately
14 clinics throughout the year , making this an opportunity for a nurse who enjoys hands-on clinical work and can offer flexibility around clinic dates. Please note: clinics take place on variable dates, so this role requires availability across different working days rather than a fixed commitment. Pay and working arrangements

£28–£30 per hour.

Approximately 14 clinics per year.

As soon as possible.
A salaried contract may also be considered for someone able to accommodate the variable clinic schedule, at
£37,000 full-time equivalent, pro rata to the agreed contracted hours .
What you'll be doing
You'll provide a professional, welcoming vaccination and screening service, helping students and staff meet the health requirements for work and university placements. Your responsibilities will include: Assessing vaccination and screening requirements.
Administering vaccines in line with Green Book schedules and the provider's written orders.
Carrying out phlebotomy and accurately recording blood tests and immunisations.
Maintaining appropriate vaccine storage and the cold chain.
Keeping the clinic environment, equipment and supplies organised.
Following infection control, clinical specimen handling and sharps disposal procedures.
What we're looking for
You will need: Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrable vaccination, immunisation and phlebotomy experience.
The confidence to run an onsite clinic independently, following clinical protocols.
Strong organisational skills and accurate record keeping.
A friendly, professional manner and good IT skills.
Flexibility to cover clinics on varying dates throughout the year.
Training will be provided on the provider's clinical IT system. Interested?
