RecruitHer is working with an EdTech startup that is building a modern school management platform for independent schools and multi academy trusts. They are now hiring a Business Development Manager/ Account Executive/ Sales Manager to own new business across the UK, with scope for international expansion over time.
This is a full cycle sales role suited to someone who knows how to sell into schools, enjoys being in front of customers, and is comfortable working in a startup environment.
The role
- You will be responsible for driving new business across the UK, selling a multi module SaaS platform to independent schools and MATs.
- You will manage the sales process end to end, from opening conversations through to close, working closely with the founder and product team.
- The role is remote, with some travel across the UK for school visits, events, and meetings. There will also be occasional international travel as the company expands into new markets.
What you will be doing
- Building and managing a pipeline of schools and MATs
- Opening new conversations and developing relationships with school leaders and administrators
- Running meetings and presenting solutions to decision makers
- Managing the sales cycle through to close, with support when needed
- Working with pilots and early customers to help convert interest into long term contracts
- Attending conferences, exhibitions, and school visits
- Using CRM tools to manage pipeline and activity
- Feeding market insights back into the wider team
What we are looking for
- Around three years experience selling into the education sector
- Proven experience working with independent schools and or multi academy trusts
- Experience in EdTech, SaaS, MIS, or adjacent education platforms
- Experience owning deals end to end rather than relying on inbound leads
- Confident communicator who is credible and professional in front of senior school stakeholders
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with a small founder led team
- Comfortable with travel and face to face selling
- Experience working for or competing against existing platforms in the space is a strong plus, subject to any non compete obligations
Compensation
Base salary starts of £40k + OTE. On target earnings circa £15k in year one.
