Graduate Installation and Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stockport (with some national and international travel)
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + Annual Discretionary Bonus + Pension

Based in Stockport, we are a specialist in the design and build of inspection and simulation machines. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team and seeking a Graduate Engineer to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support Provide technical support, diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and support service interventions and projects.
- System Management Work towards supporting and overseeing system performance, conduct regular audits and performance assessments, and ensure optimal system reliability.
- Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed records of service activities, system configurations, and equipment maintenance.
- Customer Engagement Build strong relationships with customers, provide clear feedback, explain product functionality, and manage technical issues to maximize customer benefit.
- Safety & Compliance Ensure all service activities comply with company policies, industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant legislation.
- Collaboration Work with cross-functional teams, including design and product development, to resolve technical problems and implement system improvements.
Person Specification
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g. Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience in a service engineering role would be an advantage, but not essential as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical, or electronic systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, customer service, leadership, teamwork, and adaptability.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to meet service needs and respond to breakdowns
- Full UK driving licenseand avalid passport with no travel restrictionsare essential.
- Flexibility, professionalism, and a proactive approach with drive to identify improvements, monitor service health and proactively address potential issues to prevent future problems.
- A commitment to service excellence and a desire to understand and respond to client problems.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK as visa sponsorship cannot be provided.
