I’m supporting a leading AR/VR organisation that is expanding its Camera Architecture & Simulation Team. They are hiring two senior Optical Modeling Engineers to help design, simulate, and validate next-generation camera systems used across Smart Glasses, AR, VR and advanced computer-vision applications.

If you have deep experience in camera development, imaging design and high-fidelity simulation, this is an exceptional opportunity.

🔧 Roles Available

1️⃣ Optical Modeling Engineer – Prototyping (Matlab/Python)

Non-negotiables:

• Strong camera development background
• Imaging design & image quality experience
• 8+ years hands-on with Matlab or Python
• Comfortable building prototypes, models, and simulation tools

2️⃣ Optical Modeling Engineer – Software Development (C++)

Non-negotiables:

• Strong camera development background
• Imaging design & image quality experience
• 8+ years experience in C++
• Ability to build scalable imaging simulation software

📌 What You’ll Work On

• End-to-end camera simulation (light → lens → sensor → ISP → image output)
• Developing & validating optical / imaging models
• Prototyping new lens and sensor configurations
• Working with tools like Zemax & Code V
• Image quality analysis (MTF, SNR, aberrations, PSF, noise modelling)
• Supporting hardware & software teams with simulation insights
• Improving fidelity, efficiency, and performance of simulation pipelines
• Researching calibration, metrology & modern imaging simulation technologies
