We have an exciting opportunity for a Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) Evolution Justice Services Trainer to join the programme. In this role, you will support individuals in custody through structured group sessions and one-to-one work, helping them prepare for release and rebuild their lives. You'll deliver a structured six-week course to small groups, working closely with fellow facilitators, prison staff, and peer mentors to support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

Location: Wetherby, West Yorkshire

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and impactful group sessions on topics such as goal setting, social interaction, coping with change, and healthy relationships.
  • Carry out comprehensive initial assessments to identify participant needs, enrol individuals onto the system, and create tailored action plans.
  • Provide one-to-one support to review goals, offer personalised guidance, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Build genuine, non-judgemental relationships with participants to create a safe and supportive environment.
  • Manage a caseload of participants, balancing group delivery with individual support and administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintain high-quality records of all interactions and progress using internal IT systems.
  • Monitor participant progress through clear objectives, ongoing engagement, and follow-up actions.

About You:

  • Proven experience delivering structured sessions in a group setting, with the ability to adapt to different needs and dynamics.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and motivate participants.
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding principles and how to respond to potential risks (training provided).
  • Confident using digital systems and maintaining accurate records to support effective case management.
  • Experience working with offenders or marginalised groups, particularly in justice, training, or counselling settings.
  • Comfortable working in target-driven environments with clear performance expectations.
  • Insight into the challenges of rehabilitation and the barriers individuals face in custody.
  • Familiarity with prison environments and the structure, culture, and safeguarding considerations involved.
